Step 1) Unscrew the compression collar and feed tubing through the collar.
Step 2) Soften the tubing by dipping the end of the tubing in freshly boiled water. This will ensure the diffuser is not accidentally damaged.
Step 3) Push the tubing onto the nipple of the diffuser.
Step 4) Screw the compression collar onto the diffuser to hold the tubing in place. Only tighten until there is mild resistance. Over-tightening risks breaking the plastic collar.
Step 5) For best results position the diffuser just above the substrate, and beneath the outflow of the filter.
